Spanning from 1997 to 2018, this journey takes you back many years. See how life has changed over the past 20 years? Every item in a room may hold a cherished memory or even a long-held dream.

GAMEPLAY

Unpack and place items in their proper spots

At the start of each level, you are presented with cardboard boxes filled with items that need to be organized. Click on a box to retrieve an object, move your cursor to the appropriate location, and click again to set it down. Books belong on shelves, clothing goes into a wardrobe, and kitchenware should be neatly arranged in the cooking area. You can choose the layout, but each item must be in its correct spot; if not, it will glow red when you check your progress. Once a room is fully organized, you move on to a new space with a fresh set of items to arrange.

Explore the protagonist’s journey

In Unbox the Room, each move to a new home marks a different chapter in the protagonist’s life. You will explore her childhood bedroom, her living space during college, an apartment shared with others, and various homes that come with new responsibilities. The items found in each room reveal her interests, aspirations, relationships, and how she has changed over time. Each object carries its story.
