MASTER OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE TACTICS

Flexibly combining offensive and defensive strategies will help your team gain greater control of the ball. When you have the ball, quickly search for opportunities to pass to a teammate, accelerate to get past the opposing defender, and advance to the end of the field to execute a perfect shot. When the opposition has the ball, focus on your defense; time your moves to intercept passes or stop opponents from advancing deeper into your territory. Don’t let them exploit open space to score.

Scoring system

Retro Football uses a scoring system based on the rules of American football. To win, you must capitalize on scoring opportunities while minimizing your opponent's chances.

• Touchdown (6 points): successfully advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone.
• Field Goal (3 points): kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts when a touchdown cannot be achieved.
• Safety (2 points): scoring by trapping the opposing team with the ball inside their end zone.
• Extra Point (1 point): a successful kick attempted after scoring a touchdown.
