Pacman

Pacman

    OVERVIEW

Pac-Man is a maze-based arcade game in which the player controls the character Pac-Man as he navigates an enclosed maze. The primary objective is to consume all the dots and four energizers while avoiding the Ghost Monsters roaming the maze.

    Characters

    Main character

Pac-Man is the game's protagonist. Pac-Man will navigate the maze, eating dots, bonus items, energy potions, or even Ghost Monsters. If a Ghost Monster catches Pac-Man, he disappears, and the player loses a life. Players can easily control Pac-Man using the arrow keys.

    Ghost Monsters

    • Blinky is the fastest of the four ghosts. He suddenly increases his speed when few dots remain in the maze or if the player stays in the level for too long. Blinky is always the first ghost to move within the maze.
    • Pinky constantly attempts to move to a position ahead of Pac-Man to ambush him from the front.
    • Inky approaches Pac-Man using a more complex strategy than the other ghosts; he targets a position located between Pac-Man and Pinky.
    • Clyde targets Pac-Man in a manner similar to Blinky but focuses primarily on the bottom-left corner of the maze.

    DETAILED GAMEPLAY

The four Ghost Monsters periodically emerge from the "ghost house" located in the center of the maze to hunt Pac-Man. Four energizers are positioned near the corners of the maze. When Pac-Man consumes an energizer, the Ghost Monsters become vulnerable; they turn dark blue, slow down, and try to avoid Pac-Man. During this time, Pac-Man can eat the frightened ghosts to earn bonus points. After being eaten, the Ghost Monster's remaining eyes quickly scatter back to the "ghost house" to regenerate its body to its normal state.

The round ends when Pac-Man consumes all the dots and energizers in the maze. However, the difficulty increases in subsequent rounds: the Ghost Monsters move faster, and the duration of the power-up items decreases.
