Pac-Man is a maze-based arcade game in which the player controls the character Pac-Man as he navigates an enclosed maze. The primary objective is to consume all the dots and four energizers while avoiding the Ghost Monsters roaming the maze.
Pac-Man is the game's protagonist. Pac-Man will navigate the maze, eating dots, bonus items, energy potions, or even Ghost Monsters. If a Ghost Monster catches Pac-Man, he disappears, and the player loses a life. Players can easily control Pac-Man using the arrow keys.
The four Ghost Monsters periodically emerge from the "ghost house" located in the center of the maze to hunt Pac-Man. Four energizers are positioned near the corners of the maze. When Pac-Man consumes an energizer, the Ghost Monsters become vulnerable; they turn dark blue, slow down, and try to avoid Pac-Man. During this time, Pac-Man can eat the frightened ghosts to earn bonus points. After being eaten, the Ghost Monster's remaining eyes quickly scatter back to the "ghost house" to regenerate its body to its normal state.
The round ends when Pac-Man consumes all the dots and energizers in the maze. However, the difficulty increases in subsequent rounds: the Ghost Monsters move faster, and the duration of the power-up items decreases.
